Words of Wisdom

If you're headed in the wrong direction, God allows U-turns.

When the tides of life turn against you
And the current upsets your boat
Don't waste those tears on what might have been
Just lay on your back and float!
(Ed Norton - The Honeymooners)

When you're having bad dreams, turn your pillow over. The good dreams are on the other side.

A careless word may kindle strife
A cruel word may wreck a life
A timely word may level stress
A loving word may heal and bless

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.

No man ever got lost on a straight road

The most essential element in any home is God.

A friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.

Don't be unhappy if your dreams never come true -- just be thankful your nightmares don't.

Don't become discouraged. It may be the last key in the bunch that will open the door.

I TOOK YOUR PLACE

Another nice and inspiring story that I have read this morning from postmyprayer.com and I want to share this to you. Please take time to reflect on the message of the story.

One day, a man went to visit a church. He arrived early, parked his car, and got out. Another car pulled up near him, and the driver told him, "I always park there. You took my place!"

The visitor went inside for Sunday school, found an empty seat, and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That's my seat! You took my place!" The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday School, the visitor went into the church sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, "That's where I always sit. You took my place!" The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still said nothing.

Later, as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called "What happened to you?" The visitor replied, "I took your place."
